My First Week

This week a the Capitol Music Group. I am stationed in the Radio Promotion dept. We currently have a few artist approaching number one air-play position's on the National BDS charts. With this comes preparation and promotion. I've been constantly on the phones with local radio station disc jockey's. Basically promoting our records. We currently have the artist MIMS, with This is Why I'm Hot. He's currently in the top 10 position, and show's a positive sign is his spins. This basically guarantees him a top 5 chart position with a week or two. Next up, there's Corrine Bailey Rae. Her album has reached gold statue. Which is considered 500,000 units sold in the United States. She recently filmed an interview, which almost guarantees that particular artist an increase in sales, record spins and publicity. With the help of out promotiion dept, and her Oprah apperance. Her future on her current album looks promising. I'm mainly responsible for the college dj's and local urban stations such as, Hot 97, and Power 105.1. Until, next week, these will be my current objectives for this period of my internship.
